The good-hearted country boy Wah arrives in Hong Kong, and before he knows it, he's been swindled out of his money. The last bit of cash he reluctantly spends on a rose from a poor flower seller who claims her flowers bring luck and prosperity. Sure enough, Wah soon finds that his luck has changed. He gets involved in a gang war but on the right side. Out of nowhere, Wah becomes a guy to watch in the underworld of Hong Kong. But with respect also comes danger in the form of rival gangsters.
